Analysis: SMT Mounter Fast Programming Steps

Feb 18, 2021

At present, most of the products produced by SMT factories are large-scale, so the PCB coordinate file can be directly used for rapid programming, without the need to locate the coordinate position of each component separately. When the coordinate file of PCB is obtained, the X and axis parameters equivalent to the SMD file have been determined. Only the axis parameters of the SMD file need to be determined.

Only when you are familiar with programming can you make the product go online faster. The specific steps are as follows:

(1) The general pick and place files are exported from the PCB drawing software and copied to the IPC.

(2) In the guide tab, click open import file, select the file copied to IPC, and click open.

(3) After opening, just keep designator, midx, Midy and solution, and change the four names to position, X coordinate, y coordinate and angle in turn.

(4) There are two ways to specify Marki and Mark2: manually and systematically.

① Manually specify mark: in the PCB drawing software, remember the coordinates of two points that are diagonally opposite to each other, fill the two groups of recorded coordinates into the mark coordinates and Mark2 coordinates below, click "generate" button, then move the mark camera to find the mark point, click "set Marki coordinates" button, move the mark camera again to find the Mark2 point, and click "generate Mark2 coordinates" button.

② Mark specified by the system: after selection, the system will automatically select two mark points from all coordinates, where Marki is green and Mark2 is blue. Click "generate" button, then move the mark camera to find the point of the green bar, click "set Marki coordinates" button, move the mark camera again to find the point of the blue bar, and click "set Mark2 coordinates" button.

(5) After setting Mark2, it will automatically jump to the "installation" tab interface, and then specify the component location and nozzle number. Right click and select the "search component location" option to input the component location number according to the exported BOM table.

After clicking the "OK" button, on the blue components that appear, right-click → select "associated components" → select the components corresponding to these mounting positions - right-click again → select "nozzle sorting" → select the nozzles to be used for these components.

(6) After all the settings are set, click "correct verification" button → "save" button.

(7) Run.
