In modern electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly machine automate production by precisely attaching electronic components to printed circuit boards. According to the different production speeds, chip mounter can be divided into high-speed chip mounter machine and medium-speed chip mounter machine. In this article, we will compare and analyze the differences between high-speed mounter and medium-speed mounter, in order to help you better choose and apply the mounter.
I. High-speed mounter and medium-speed mounter overview
1. High-speed chip mounter machine
Usually applied to mass production. The main feature of high-speed mounter is to ensure the placement accuracy at the same time, can realize high-speed, efficient production process.
2. Medium-speed chip mounter machine
Usually applicable to small and medium volume production. The main feature of medium-speed mounter is to ensure the placement accuracy on the basis of different scale production to meet the needs of better flexibility.
II. The difference between high-speed mounter and medium-speed mounter
1. Production speed
Obviously, the production speed is the most direct difference between high-speed mounter and medium-speed mounter. The production speed of high-speed mounter is generally more than 100,000 CPH (Chip Per Hour, the number of components per hour), while the production speed of medium-speed mounter is usually between 30,000 and 100,000 CPH. High-speed mounter is more suitable for mass production, while medium-speed mounter is more suitable for small and medium-sized production.
2. Mounting accuracy
Although high-speed mounter and medium-speed mounter can meet the production requirements in terms of placement accuracy, but due to their respective application scenarios and technical characteristics, there are still some differences in their placement accuracy. Usually, the placement accuracy of medium-speed mounter is slightly higher than that of high-speed mounter, because medium-speed mounter has more time to optimize the positioning and mounting of components in the production process.
3. Equipment Structure
High-speed mounter and medium-speed mounter in the equipment structure there are some differences. High-speed mounter usually adopts multi-head placement technology, multiple placement heads work at the same time, in order to realize high-speed production; while medium-speed mounter usually adopts single-head or double-head placement technology, which is relatively simple. In addition, the placement head and feeding system of high-speed mounter often need more precise design and manufacturing to ensure that in high-speed operation can still maintain stable placement performance.
4. Investment cost
Because the production speed of high-speed mounter is higher, the equipment structure is more complex, its investment cost is relatively high. While the medium-speed mounter due to lower production speed, equipment structure is relatively simple, its investment cost is relatively low. For different sizes of enterprises and production needs, it is necessary to weigh the investment cost and production efficiency according to the actual situation.
5. Scope of application
High-speed mounter and medium-speed mounter application range is also different. High-speed mounter is usually suitable for mass production, especially for the higher production efficiency requirements of the occasion; and medium-speed mounter is more suitable for small and medium-sized batch production, especially for the more product categories, the production needs of more flexible occasions.
6. Maintenance cost
High-speed mounter due to its complex equipment structure, fast running speed, maintenance costs are relatively high. Equipment routine maintenance, repair and parts replacement costs are higher. In contrast, the maintenance cost of medium-speed mounter is lower, easier to routine maintenance and maintenance.
