1. The weldment has good weldability
Weldability refers to the ability of the metal material to be welded to solder to form a good bonding alloy at the right temperature. In order to improve the solderability, tin and silver plating can be used to prevent the oxidation of the material surface.
2. The surface of welding parts must be kept clean
Even well-solderable welds may develop oxide film and oil stains harmful to wettability on the surface of welds due to storage or contamination. The fouling film must be removed before welding, otherwise the welding quality cannot be guaranteed.
3. Use a suitable flux
The function of flux is to remove the oxide film on the surface of the weldment. Different welding process, should choose different flux. When welding precision electronic products such as printed circuit boards, rosin flux is usually used to make the welding reliable and stable.
4. welding parts should be heated to the appropriate temperature
During reflow oven welding, the function of heat energy is to melt solder and heat the welding object, so that tin and lead get enough energy to penetrate into the lattice of the metal surface to form alloy. Welding temperature is too low, easy to form virtual welding; Welding temperature is too high, will make the solder in a non-eutectic state, so that the quality of the solder.
5. Suitable welding time
Welding time refers to the time required for physical and chemical changes in the whole welding process. It includes the time when the metal reaches the welding temperature, the melting time of the solder, the time when the flux plays a role and the metal alloy is formed. When the welding temperature is determined, the appropriate welding time should be determined according to the shape, nature and characteristics of the welded parts.
