Digital controller

A digital controller is a kind of electronic controller, is the core part of the computer control system, which is generally connected with the components and equipment of the feedback part of the system. Other parts of the system may be digital or analog. The digital controller usually uses computer software programming to complete a specific control algorithm.

Common types

Direct digital controller

Direct digital controller, also known as "DDC controller". Generally, DDC system consists of central control equipment (centralized control computer, color monitor, keyboard, printer, uninterruptible power supply, communication interface, etc.), field DDC controller, communication network, and corresponding sensors, actuators, regulating valves and other components.

The programmable controller is PC for short, but PLC for short. Its English full name is a programmable controller. It has experienced several different periods: PMC, PSC, PLC, and PC.

PLC is defined as follows in the draft of PLC standard issued by the International Electrical Committee in 1987: "PLC is an electronic device specially designed for digital operation in an industrial environment. Sequence controller

The control mode of a sequential controller is sometimes sequential control and conditional control.

Digital regulator

The regulator of closed-loop control with digital technology and microelectronics technology, also known as a digital regulating instrument, is a kind of digital controller. It receives the measurement signals from the production process, processes them by the internal digital circuit or microprocessor, generates the output digital signal or analog signal to drive the actuator according to certain regulation rules, and completes the closed-loop control of the production process.

Classification according to design features
