1. Quality control: to cover some defects that are often missed in manual visual inspection, including: component bias, component less tin, welding spot short circuit, welding spot virtual welding, component reverse, component wrong installation, component deformation, component missing installation, component standing up, etc.
2. Process control: AOI equipped with information analysis (IAT) can real-time monitor terminal solder joint quality, real-time generate statistics charts, the failure type and frequency of information such as real-time feedback to the production control department, in order to make the department to find the problems in the process of production in time and correct as soon as possible, so that the time and material loss to a minimum.
3. Process parameter verification and other: for a new veneer to be processed, from the printing process parameters to the reflow oven welding process parameters, all need to be carefully set up and modulation, and whether the setting of these parameters is reasonable, ultimately depends on the quality of the welding, this process must be achieved after many tests. AOI provides an effective means of validating experimental results.
4. After SPI is applied to the printing press, the quality inspection of solder printing and the verification and control of printing process parameters. Solid SPI plays an important role in SMT production. AOI is divided into pre-furnace and post-furnace. The former tests the device mounting while the latter tests the solder joints.
